Wouldn't you know
We're in the Perot

Back when the Perot Museum was first being built in Dallas, we took our decaled truck to Home Depot to pick up some supplies. When we came out, this stranger walked up and asked if we do graphic work. We said we did, and he asked if he could swing by the shop to see some of our projects.

The Challenge

He must’ve been impressed, because on the spot he asked us if we’d like to do some work for this new museum being built. It’s not often you get an opportunity like this just walk in your front door, so, of course, we said yes.

At the time, just the shell of the building had been built, and they were still constructing all of the interior floors. We didn’t know this at the time, so the first day, we showed up in shorts and T-shirts, which is not what you wear to a full-on construction site. We ended up having to come back the next day with hardhats and steel toed boots, and we got to work.

The Solution

Over the course of the next four weeks, we did all types of projects to help put that museum together: printing and hanging special wallpaper designs, applying vinyl lettering on glass walls for the different exhibits, and even redoing work that another contractor had done, because our contact said it wasn’t as good as what we were doing.

While a lot of those exhibits have changed over the years, we’re still extremely proud of that work, and you better believe we still shop at that Home Depot. Who knows what kind of job we’ll stumble onto next time?
